Released the first edition of “Things We Won’t Carry and Why” to define ingredients we won’t sell in our stores

No longer permitting new grocery products with ingredients that are at high risk of coming from GMO crops, animals, or fermentables, unless those ingredients are certified organic or verified non-GMO

Transitioned dairy offering to 100% pasture based

2016

Transitioned egg offering to a minimum standard of 100% free range or better (previously cage free)

Compassion in World Farming awarded Natural Grocers ® the international Good Egg Award for our cage free egg supply chain

Company launches line of premium quality private label products

2018

First national grocery chain to offer exclusively 100% certified organic and Fair-Trade Certified coffee for our private-label brand
