2022 may well have been the year that talking about colon health became cool. Celebs like Heidi Klum and Ryan Reynolds publicly discussed their colonoscopies, opening up a mainstream dialogue about colon health. The beginnings of that dialogue first happened back in 2020, with the death from colon cancer of 43-year-old Chadwick Boseman, the actor best known for his role as Black Panther. In the U.S., colorectal cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death among men and women, and disproportionately a ects African Americans, whose rates are the highest of any racial group.
