TALENT DEVELOPMENT AND RETENTION Investing in the development of our Crew supports the sustainability of our business. We prioritize promoting leaders from within our organization and support Crew career growth through regular training and leadership development opportunities.

We provide all new store managers and assistant managers with four weeks of in-person operational and managerial training at our training store in Denver, Colorado. We also conduct over 20 hours of virtual and in person training annually for our store Crew members covering a wide array of topics, including company culture and values, store operations, nutrition education, safety, and compliance. All store Crew receive training and guidance on customer service skills, product attributes, and nutrition education. They are also trained and evaluated on how to properly present nutrition information to our customers in a legally compliant and educational context. The Store Manager Accelerated Readiness Training (SMART) Program is designed to provide comprehensive store management training to interested and motivated department managers who wish to be promoted to a store manager position. Our dedication to our Crew includes a commitment to their future growth. Crew have many opportunities to be promoted into leadership roles. Our internal promotion rates demonstrate our continuing investment in our Crew. During FY 2025, we promoted internal candidates to fill 100% of our vacant regional manager positions, approximately 67% of our vacant store manager positions, approximately 69% of our vacant assistant store manager positions, and approximately 72% of our vacant department manager positions. We have many current leaders whose first position was good4u Customer Care at our stores. Our store managers and assistant store managers at comparable stores had average tenures of approximately five years with us.
