Community is one of our Five Founding Principles. We believe that it is vital to give back to our communities by supporting the efforts of non-profit groups that promote the health and wellbeing of our communities and the environment. For more information about our many partners: Partnerships
RODALE INSTITUTE Rodale Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to growing the regenerative organic agriculture movement through rigorous research, farmer training, and education. Its groundbreaking science and direct farmer-support programs serve as a catalyst for change in farming and food production worldwide. Over their 75-year history, they have proven that organic farming is not only viable, but essential to humanity’s survival. Natural Grocers ® is proud to support Rodale Institute and nurture the next generation of regenerative organic farmers through the Rodale Institute Farmer Training Program. UCHEALTH - READY. SET. CO UCHealth, a network of nationally recognized hospitals, clinic locations, and health care providers throughout Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska is encouraging Coloradans to improve their health with Ready. Set. CO. This campaign is a wide-ranging effort to reclaim Colorado’s rightful place as the healthiest state in the nation by offering free resources on healthy eating, fitness and fun, mental wellness, and health care tips. FOOD BANKS Fighting food insecurity is part of Natural Grocers’ “Commitment to Community.” Each time a customer uses their own bag at checkout, we donate five cents per shopping trip to our local food bank partner. To date, we have donated over $2 million dollars to local food banks (and prevented more than 550 million single-use plastic bags from ending up in landfills). We also work with local food banks and a wide variety of non-profit organizations to support community food rescue efforts and additional fundraising and food donation campaigns during the holidays. In FY24, we supported our communities with more than:
$0.9 MILLION in monetary donations for company donations and customer fundraisers
MORE THAN $4 MILLION of company in-kind food and product donations
